Del evento participaron 10 personas, que conforman el primer grupo de respuesta ante un accidente ambiental, en el marco del Plan Nacional de Contingencia, de acuerdo a la Ordenanza 8/98 de la Prefectura Naval Argentina (Régimen para la protección del Medio Ambiente).
Esta actividad fue supervisada por el Director de Protección Portuaria, Horacio Ojeda, en preparación para la convalidación de dicho Plan que se realizará en el mes de marzo.
Ojeda destacó que «el personal pudo identificar la zona afectada y evaluar las posibles soluciones, en esta oportunidad, la simulación se trató de un derrame de gas oíl, afectándose personal del grupo de respuesta, y material específico, entre ellos 2 tramos de barreras de contención, lográndose la circunscripción del derrame, aspiración del producto y la disposición final de éste, dando un resultado positivo para el entrenamiento teórico/practico del personal.
Este miércoles el presidente de la Dirección Provincial de Puertos (DPP), Roberto Murcia, realizó la entrega de una placa de recibimiento al capitán del Buque Silver Nova, que arribó por primera vez al Puerto de Ushuaia, siendo así el primer puerto de Argentina que visita. Silver Nova pertenece a la empresa Silversea Cruises. Este barco fue botado al mar pasado 14 de agosto con bandera de Bahamas, y viene desde Punta Arenas (Chile), y se dirige al Puerto de Buenos Aires y posteriormente Montevideo y Río de Janeiro. Tiene capacidad para 728 pasajeros y 556 tripulantes, y posee 11 pisos de altura.
Aprovechando la ampliación de 124 metros que se realizó en el Puerto de Ushuaia, el Silver Nova amarró por primera vez en un puerto argentino, generando un precedente que se espera continúe en las próximas temporadas. El presidente de la DPP, Roberto Murcia, valoró la presencia de este buque en Ushuaia, considerando que sólo amarró en 16 puertos desde que fue puesto en funcionamiento hace solo 6 meses.
El buque Silver Nova se destaca como el pionero en su clase al ser el primer barco propulsado por GNL (gas natural licuado) de de la empresa Silversea. Esto genera un reducción del 40% en sus emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero por suite en comparación con la clase anterior de barcos. Sus motores se alimentan de tres fuentes (combustibles y baterías) incluida la capacidad de conectarse a la red eléctrica mientras está atracado, garantizando cero emisiones en cada destino que visita.
➡️ Hace una semana partió desde la Base Naval Mar del Plata el patrullero oceánico ARA “Contraalmirante Cordero”, y este viernes amarró en el muelle del Puerto de Ushuaia, en plan de las acciones de patrulla, vigilancia y control de los espacios marítimos de jurisdicción nacional, bajo responsabilidad del Comando Conjunto Marítimo (COCM), dependiente del Estado Mayor Conjunto de las Fuerzas Armadas, la cual se llevan a cabo para evitar la pesca ilegal en el Atlántico Sur.
▶️ El patrullero oceánico ARA Contraalmirante Cordero es el cuarto y último de los cuatro OPV (Buque de Patrulla Oceánica) de la clase Gowind1 de la Armada Argentina. Forma parte de la División Patrullado Marítimo y tiene apostadero en la Base Naval Mar del Plata. Posee una capacidad para transportar 40 tripulantes y un adicional para embarcar 19 personas más.
✅️ El patrullero «Contraalmirante Cordero”, pertenece a la clase OPV 90, fue construido por la empresa Naval Group en el Astillero Piriou en la localidad de Concarneau, al sur de Francia y fue entregado formalmente a la Armada Argentina el 13 de abril de 2022.
